SAPOA Convention dinner

The SAPOA convention dinner is held during the convention and all convention delegates, numbering over 1000 are invited to attend the dinner.

Sponsor’s benefits


The Convention dinner sponsor’s branding will be included on the following material:

  • Branding of the convention dinner venue
  • Exposure in the form of logo visibility on material related to the convention dinner
  • logo exposure on the sponsors’ page of the convention website
  • Logo exposure on all freestanding banners and bulkheads
  • Logo on printed sponsors’ page in the Property Review

 

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following:

  • One free 3x3 exhibition stand (space only) at the SAPOA Convention
    Secondary selection of stand position in Exhibition Area
  • If Gala dinner seating is available the sponsor will be given first choice to select tables
  • A short (5 minutes) sponsor message at the convention dinner

Items such as special decoration and entertainment and other additional items not included in SAPOA’s budget will be for the sponsor’s account and subject to discussion and agreement with SAPOA.

Convention Alternative Event ( Alternative to the Golf day)

 

The convention alternative event is a popular event held during the convention. The event accommodates approximately 200 of the delegates attending the SAPOA convention. The type of event selected depends on the venue where the convention is held. The convention currently rotates amongst the following venues: Sun City, the Durban ICC and the Cape Town ICC.

 

Sponsor’s benefits

 

The Alternative event sponsor’s branding will be included on the following material:

 

  • Branding exposure at the sponsored event
  • Exposure in the form of logo visibility in all printed convention material relating to the event sponsored.
    Logo exposure on the sponsors’ page of the Convention website
  • Logo exposure on all freestanding banners and bulkheads
  • Logo exposure on the sponsors’ page in the Property Review

 

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following:

  • A short (5 minutes) sponsor message at the at the event
  • The event may provide other branding opportunities for the sponsor to be agreed with SAPOA

 

Convention Lunch - Day 1

The lunch is held on the second day of the convention in the convention exhibition venue. The lunch is for all delegates attending the convention, over 1000 delegates.

Convention Lunch - day 2

The lunch is held on the third and final day of the convention in the convention exhibition venue. The lunch is for all delegates attending the convention over 1000 delegates.

REGIONAL SAPOA HALF DAY WORKSHOPS - A MINIMUM OF 10 WORKSHOPS

The following regions are included Kwazulu Natal, Western Cape, Limpopo, Eastern Cape – Port Elizabeth and East London. The half day workshops attract an average of 25 delegates to each course.

The sponsorship will be for anyone of the following half day workshop : Property Finance, Property Tax, Property Law, Property Economics, Property Investments, Property Valuation, Financial Viability and Asset Management. These are a series of specially focused seminars and workshops at which important issues in the property field are discussed and are opened to debate. Delegates from the property industry and are kept up to date on current trends.

 

The sponsor’s branding appears on:

 

  • The SAPOA Property Workshop Brochures in the form of the sponsor’s logo. An electronic version of the brochure will be promoted on the SAPOA website
  • Any adverts produced by SAPOA in the “SA Property Review”

 

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following:

 

  • The workshop will be marketed to our members by means of numerous and strategically timed e-mails in the SAPOA update. The sponsor’s logo will be included every time (where possible) wherever these messages are sent out. Where it is not possible to include the sponsor’s logo, the sponsor’s name will be mentioned.
  • At each workshop the sponsor will be able to display corporate signage at the registration desk and within the workshop room itself.
  • Immediately after a SAPOA spokesperson has welcomed the delegates and thanked the sponsor, a spokesperson from sponsor will be invited to make a short sponsor’s address.
  • Where possible the sponsor’s corporate logo will be projected on the screen at strategic times before, during and after each workshop. SAPOA will arrange this aspect.
  • The sponsor can provide additional corporate materials for each delegate attending the workshop.

 

SAPOA PROPERTY COURSES

To effectively deliver its professional property courses, SAPOA partners with the following universities: the University of Witwatersrand, University of Pretoria, University of Cape Town and the Free State University. Each course attracts an average of 35 delegates.

SAPOA has increased its focus on standardizing industry education and match them more closely with industry needs. The primary goal is to ensure effective and consistent course content nationally, based on relevant and standardized material. SAPOA focuses on outcomes-based methodology for its courses, which are aligned with SAQA standards wherever possible.

 

The sponsorship will be for the following courses:

Introduction to Commercial Property Programme (ICPP)

Essential Commercial Property Programme (ECPP)

Intensive Project Management Programme for the built environment practitioners (IPMP)

Facilities Management Programme (FMP)

Certificate for the Commercial Property Practitioner (CCPP)

 

SAPOA will for the period of the sponsorship ensure that:

  • The SAPOA Property Brochures in the form of the sponsor’s logo. An electronic version of the brochure will be promoted on the SAPOA website.
  • Any adverts produced by SAPOA in the “SA Property Review”

 

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following:

  • At an appropriate time in advance of each course, SAPOA will post out printed copies of individual course brochures to the members.
  • The courses will be marketed to our members by means of numerous and strategically timed e-mails in the SAPOA update. The sponsor’s logo will be included every time (where possible) wherever these messages are sent out. Where it is not possible to include the Otis (Pty) Ltd logo the sponsor’s name will be mentioned.
  • An advert to promote the courses will be included in the editions of the “SAPOA Property Review.
  • To market itself using the sponsor’s corporate branding in the form of banner, note pads, pens and other branding material at the education venue .
  • A 5-minute address by the sponsor on the first day of the convention

 

BRONZE SPONSORS

Journalism of the year Awards

These awards are held annually at the convention targeting property industry media and journalists. The objectives of the awards are:

  • To encourage quality coverage of the property industry in the media;
  • Acknowledge journalistic and media achievements pertaining to the property industry

The following categories for the SAPOA Property Journalism Awards are included: Property News Journalist of the Year, Property Feature Journalist of the Year, Property Publication of the Year, Property Television interview of the Year and Property Radio interview of the Year. A judging panel of industry representative evaluates all submission and selects winners in each category. The winners in each category are presented their prizes at the SAPOA convention.

 

Sponsor’s benefits

The sponsor’s branding will be included on convention printed material including:

  • Exposure in the form of logo visibility on all printed convention material relating to the event
  • Exposure on the sponsors page of the convention website
  • SAPOA web page promoting the Property Journalism of the year Award on the SAPOA Convention website
  • Exposure on the convention programme on the sponsors page
  • Exposure in the SA Property Review convention edition on the sponsors’ page
  • A representative from the sponsoring company will hand out the awards at the convention.

 

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME (PMP)

This course is run in partnership with the university of Witswatersrand

The objective of this 1 year PMP programme is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of process and decision making in the property management work environment

SAPOA will for the period of the sponsorship ensure the following:

 

The PDP sponsor’s branding appears on

  • The SAPOA Property marketing brochure in the form of the sponsor’s logo. An electronic version of the brochure will be promoted on the SAPOA website from November of each year
  • Any adverts produced by SAPOA in the “SA Property Review” relating to the sponsorship.

 

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following:

  • At an appropriate time in advance of each course, SAPOA will post out printed copies of the PMP brochures to the members
  • The courses is marketed to SAPOA members by means of numerous and strategically-timed e-mails in the SAPOA update. The sponsor’s logo will be included every time (where possible) wherever these messages are sent out. Where it is not possible to include the sponsor’s logo the sponsor’s name will be mentioned.
  • To market itself using the sponsor’s corporate branding in the form of banner, note pads, pens and other branding material at the education venue.
  • A 5-minute address by the sponsor on the first day of the course
    • The course will be marketed at SAPOA promotional events

SAPOA CAREER DAYS

The SAPOA Career days are held to promote property careers to the following target market: high school and tertiary level students. The shopping mall career days are an extension of the university career days that SAPOA attends.

 

The sponsor’s benefits include:

 

  • Branding of the career day exhibition area. The branding will be supplied by the sponsor
  • The sponsors logo will be included on any adverts or publicity relating to the SAPOA career day advertised in the following publications:
    • The SAPOA Property Review
    • The SAPOA weekly update
    • The events calendar on the SAPOA website
    • Naming rights of the of the sponsored career day and exhibition area.

 

 

CAREER BROCHURES

The career brochures are distributed at the career days held at the universities and shopping malls promoting property as a career of choice to high school and tertiary level students. The career brochure.

 

The sponsor’s benefits include

  • Any adverts produced by SAPOA in the “SA Property Review”.
  • The inclusion of the sponsors branding on the brochure

 

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following benefits:

 

  • The career brochure will be marketed at the career days, through our regional office and universities that offer property studies to include: Limpopo, University of Pretoria, Wits University, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, University of the Free State, University of Cape Town, University of Johannesburg and University of Kwazulu Natal
  • The Career brochure will be marketed at shopping mall career days. The sponsor will be informed of the shopping mall career days that will be held annually.
  • Free advertising of sponsor’s career development programmes will be included in the SAPOA Career Development Handbook. The SAPOA handbook will be distributed at all the career days.
  • The SAPOA page in the Career Focus magazine, which targets high schools. SAPOA includes a 1-2 page article regarding property careers in this publication.

SAPOA BURSARY SCHEME BENEFITS

The bursary scheme is for 5 students who will study for a degree in property sciences. The bursary will cover the full costs of their studies as from 2010 and the following three year period.

The Creation of the SAPOA Bursary scheme is one of the solutions to address the current and future skills crisis within the Commercial Property Industry and supports the Property Sector Transformation objects. Bursary applicants are selected on the following criteria:- Matriculation maths and science results, performance records at tertiary level 1st term results and work ethics and discipline.

 

Benefits to the sponsor

The sponsor’s branding will be included in the form of:

 

  • Corporate signage (supplied by the sponsor) displayed on the SAPOA bursary web page on the SAPOA website.
  • Adverts associated with sponsorship for the period of the sponsorship in publications including the Property review
  • Any other promotional material marketing the bursaries
  • At events marketing the bursary scheme such as the SAPOA exhibitions and career days

In addition the sponsor will be entitled to the following benefits:

  • Advertise its association with the sponsorship
  • Involvement in the final selection process of the bursary student/s.
  • The possible recruitment of the student after the 4 year period.
  • Providing vocational employment annually
  • Advertise its association with the sponsorship for the period of the sponsorship.

 

SAPOA Winter/Spring School Bursaries

The bursaries for winter/spring school are aimed at raising the Mathematics, Science and English levels at Grade 12- increase pass rates for entry into tertiary education in Property studies. These students will be considered by SAPOA for funding at the tertiary level in 2010.

A total of 10 students will be put through winter/spring school.

OTHER SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Convention Internet Café

This is a communication centre used by the convention delegates located in the convention exhibition area. Delegates will be able to access the internet in this area.

The Internet Café sponsor’s branding will be included on the following material:

 

  • Naming rights of the Internet Café
  • Sponsors logo branded as home page of each computer
  • Exposure in the form of logo visibility in all printed convention material related to the sponsorship
  • Exposure in the form of a logo on the sponsors’ page of the Convention website
  • Logo on printed sponsors’ page in the Property Review

 

Convention Media room

This convention media room is utilised by the property media invited to attend the convention during the convention

The sponsor’s Branding will appear on all pre-convention printed material including:

 

  • The “Sponsors’ page” on the SAPOA Convention website.
  • Any other pre-convention material excluding the Registration form (reserved exclusively for the Main Sponsor.
  • Adverts relating to the activity produced by “SAPOA in the SA Property Review”
  • The delegate programme on the “Convention Sponsors’ pages” in the printed programme. This will include a description of the sponsorship.
  • Numerous Freestanding sponsor panels, which will be situated throughout the Convention and the Exhibition venue.
