DRAFT CODE OF CONDUCT OF THE INFORMATION REGULATOR ON GATED ACCESS
The Information Regulator has recently circulated a draft Own Initiative Code of Conduct on Gated Access (“the Draft Code”), which was introduced at a stakeholder engagement session arranged by the Information Regulator on 18 February 2026.

CITY OF CAPE TOWN: AMENDED 2025/26 BUDGET
SAPOA notified members last week that the City of Cape Town had published an Amended Budget on Wednesday 28 May 2025, following active and intense engagement between SAPOA and the Mayor and his executive team regarding the City’s proposed amended tariff structures and rates and tariff increases.

Members were advised late in April 2025 that SAPOA is continuing its engagements with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (“the DMRE”) and SANEDI regarding the requirements that office buildings have to display valid Energy Performance Certificates (“EPCs”) by 7 December 2025.
